 I do with the advice of Council hereby certify Mary Cook, widow of William 
Cook, late a private in the 8th Virginia Regiment and died in the service of the 
Continental, is entitled to the sum of twelve pounds yearly, commencing from the 
1st day of January 1786.  Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of 
Virginia, at Richmond, this 22nd day of February 1787.
