Given under my hand this 29 March 1788. Wm Lewis, formerly a Major VA Line I do with the advice of the Council hereby certify that Andrew McGuire, about 65 years of age, late a private in the 1st VA Regiment whose pay was at the rate of 24 pounds per annum was disabled in the service of the United States, by a wound which fractured his collarbone on the left side ___ ____ a rupture; and that he is entitled to the sum of 8 pounds yearly to commence on the 1st day of Jan'y 1788.
