GILES COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - Robert Gore to Henry Gore, 28 Apr 1828 ----¤¤¤---- THIS INDENTURE made this 28th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between Robert Goar of the County of Giles and State of Virginia of the one part and Henry Gore of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Robert Gore for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Henry Gore the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Henry Gore his heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcell of land containing be survey bareing date the 23 day of February 1776 lying and being in the County of Giles formerly Montgomery 64 acres on Kick Creek BEGINNING at a Poplar and lynn on the south side of the creek N 73 W 47 ps to 3 white oakes N 10 W 41 poles crossing the creek to two white oaks N 80 E 27 ps to three Sycamores from one root S 33 E 54 ps to a hickory and sugar tree sapling N 76 E 36 ps to two buckeye from one root N 62 E 60 ps to a white oake and white oak saplen on a steep bank S 87 E 41 poles to a hickray and 3 white oakes by a branch S 31 EC 40 ps to a lynn and hickrey saplin S 10 W 70 ps to a sugar tree S 20 E 37 ps to two white oakes in a bottom N 80 E 64 ps to a white oak and a white oak sapling S 56 E 40 ps to a black oak and two white oakes S 10 E 53 ps crossing the creek to a lynn and hickory thence N 62 W 138 ps N 4 W 126 ps S 75 W 113 poles to the beginning. Together with all and Singular the appurtenances unto the said Henry Gore his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Henry Gore his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant with the said Henry Gore his heirs and assigns that to the said Robert Gore his heirs executors and administrators unto the said Henry Gore his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of him the said Robert Gore his heirs and of all and every person or persons whatsoever shal and will warrant and forever defend In witness whereof the said Robert Gore shall warrant and hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
