NAME: Lucie Hale, age 81 as of 1924, widow of Edward Clark Hale who died on
January 3, 1900 **second microfilm has him listed as dying in 1910;** resided
with James J. Hale.  Married on Sept. 15, 1869 in Dublin, VA by Rev. Robert
Grey

GILES COUNTY, VA (Bluff City)

MEMBER OF: Stark's Battery of Light Artillery and Capt. David A. French's
Company. Comrades: John D. Snidow of Pearlsburg and Jack Mullice? of same
town. Union prisoner of war who was surrendered and paroled at Appomattox
Court House on April 9, 1865 by Gen. R. E. Lee.
