BIG ISLAND CEMETERY 

	This cemetery is located on an island situated at the 
juncture of the York River and the Mobjack Bay.  It is accessible 
primarily by crossing Monday Creek from Jenkins Neck Landing.  
The markers on the graves in this cemetery have been lost to time 
but the information concerning those buried there was provided by 
one of the last inhabitants to move away from the island--Mrs. 
Edna Pearl West.
