Whereas &c. now Know ye. That I the said Sir William Berkeley Knight Governor &c. give and grant unto Lewis Day, Four hundred Acres of Land situate in the County of Gloucester upon the south East side of Poropotank Creek in the Woods bounding as followeth Vizt. upon the head of Totopotoinoyes Creek and upon the North East side of a swamp which divideth this Land and the Land of Isaac Richeson and extending a long a branch of the said Swamp, which divideth this Land and the Land of William Kinsey, North East by North Two hundred pole to the South West side of a White Marsh into the Woods South East by East Three hundred and twenty poles, South West by South [sic] the Land of Isaac Richeson, North West by West upon the Land of William Ginsey. The said Land being formerly granted unto John Day deceased by patent dated the nineteenth day of October one thousand six hundred and fifty three. And now become due unto the said Lewis son of the aforesaid John. To Have and To Hold &c. To be Held &c.
