HENRY SEARS SURVEY, 1860 - Gloucester Co. VA

Provisional to a decree of Gloucester County Court bearing date December
1859, I proceeded in February 1860 under direction of commissioners Thomas
Marchant and Augustine Trevillian to survey and divide the tract of land
situated on the Piankatank, of which Henry Sears deceased seized and
possessed.  The whole area was found to be two hundred and eighty acres,
one rod and eight poles and was divided and assigned by order of
commissioners as follows to Mira Ann South who was Mira Ann Sears as her
dower in Henry Sears land, 49 acres 2 rods and 16 poles of arable land upon
which are situated the dwellings and other houses and 25 acres woodland; to
Henry S. Sears lot 1 containing 62 acres exclusive of the road.  To infant
Edward C. Sears lot 2 containing 	71 acres, 2 rods and 36 poles.  To infant
Benjamin F. Sears lot 3 containing 71 acres, 2 rods and 36 poles.  The
survey was made to low water mark and areas of coves included, all of which
will 	appear by reference to plat and is hereby respectfully reported.

	On 9 May 1887, the dower lands of Mira Ann Sears were divided equally
among Edward and Benjamin Sears.

(Submitter note: This is the written part of a survey that was done on
the property of my great great grandfather, Henry Sears.  From a land plat
on file at Gloucester County Court house.  As a side note, Mira Ann Sears'
maiden name was Mira Ann Edwards.)
