Now Know yee that I the sd Sr. Henry Chickeley Knt his Majesties Deputy Vovernor &c Give and grant unto William Skelton one hundred and fifty acres in Glostr. County being part of a great Devident of Land belonging to Tho: Dawkins and by him sold to the sd William Skelton, and bounded viz Begining to be measured at Thomas Dawkins his beginning hiccory tree, standing neer John Whittamores plantacon side and running thence South by East one hundred poles to a [falne?] red oake now a young Mulberry in Richard Hollowayes Corne feild fence thence East South East sixty poles to two small hiccories, thence East North East fourteen poles to a spanish oake, by a Runne, side of a branch, then down the Runne as it turnes and winds neearest North by West in a straight Line fifty two poles to an Ash by the sd Runne side then North East by North forty eight poles to [a] Dogwood in a valley by Tho: Dawkins his Corne field ffence, thence North West 1/2 a point North thirty eight poles to a gume by the Runne of [the?] Swamp Then downe the Runne as it turnes and windes untill it meets with the Line of the land formerly called Knoxes Land now Walter Kants Land, surveyed by order of Collo. Augustin [---?] decd: and by that Line to a hiccory on the browe of the Swampe and soe continueing along the Line of that Land North West one hundred poles to a Corner hiccory by great Road, then North West by West [---?] [quarter?] [West forty five poles to [---?] Reynalds his red oake Corner tree, standing in the old Line of Edwd. Roe then by that old Line South [---?] [---?] degrees one hundred ninety two poles to a ffalne ash now a young mulberry tree newly planted thence North Westerly seaventeen degrees by another old Line of Edwd Roes [---?] Thomas Dawkins his Land fifty four poles to the beginning hiccory The said land being due to the sd William Skelton by deed given him by Tho: Dawkins & Anne his wife bearing date ye 15th day of Octobr. 1673 according to the true intent of the sd [deed?] surveyed & layd out by Robt Beverley surveyor of Gloucr: County the 29th day of October [1680?] in presence of and with the Consent and approbacon of the sd Tho Dawkins and in [the?] presence of Charles Roane Edwd.
