Indenture between Samuel LeMay to Samuel Perrin
20 January 1829

This Indenture made and entered into this 20th day of January eighteen
hundred and twenty nine between Samuel Lemay and Sally his wife of the
County of Hanover of the one part and Samuel Perrin of said county of the
other part Witnesseth:  that for and in consideration of the sum of six
hundred and thirty four dollars and fifty cents in hand paid by the said
Samuel Perrin at or before the ensealing of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained, sold and by these presents do
bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Perrin al right, title and interest in
to of or concerning a certain tract or parcel of land, lying being and
situated in the County of Goochland, containing two hundred and eleven and a
half acres and bounded as follows:  Beginning at a corner hicory with James
Walker, thence along said Walkers line 121 poles to a Beach on the west side
of Lickinghole Creek, then north 2 degrees east, 60 poles to a corner pine
with said Walker, thence north 44 degrees, east 90 ½ poles to a corner red
oak in Aaron Parrishes line, thence north 81 ½ degrees west 180 ½ poles to
three white oak pointers to a corner with Mrs. Parrishes in Hodgess' line
then south 1 ½ degrees west 164 ½ poles to a corner red oak with said
Hodgess and Frederick Harris, there south 30 degrees west 159 poles to a
corner in said Harris's line, thence south 15 degrees west 4 poles to a
white and red oak pointers at a corner in said Harris' line, thence north 72
degrees east 152 poles to the beginning with all the appurtenances known or
intended to be known as belonging to the said land in any wise with all the
reversion or reversions, remainder or remainders, profits, rents and issues
as belonging to the said tract or parcel of land in any wise or any part or
parcel thereof.  To have and to hold the said recited land with the
tenements, hereditaments and all before mentioned or intended to be
bargained and sold as aforesaid and every part and parcel thereof unto the
said Samuel Perrin his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Samuel Lemay
and Sally his wife for themselves and heirs, their several respective right
title and interest in to of or concerning the said tract or parcel of land
with all the premises & appurtenances unto the said Samuel Perrin his heirs
and assigns, do by these presents grant in absolute fee simple, all our
right, title & interest to the said land intended to bargained and sold as
aforesaid, this said Samuel Lemay & Sally his wife do by these presents
warrant and will forever defend against the claim or claims of themselves
and heirs and against the claim or claims of any other person or persons
whatsoever.  In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto
set their hands and affixed their seals this day and year above written.
