GOOCHLAND COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - Indenture, Louisa A. Lowry, daughter, 1834 ----¤¤¤---- This Indenture made and entered into this first day of December 1834 between Louisa A. Lowry of the County of Goochland of the one part and Drury Boatright of the same county of the other, Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen dollars lawful money of Virginia in hand paid by the said Drury boatright at or before the sensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Drury Boatright, all my right, title and interest in a certain tract or parcel of land belonging to the estate of my father, Mathew Lowry, dec'd, and also all my interest in the personal property of said estate. To have and to hold the said real and personal estate free from the claim of her the said Louisa A. Lowery and all other persons whatsoever shall, will and do warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand & affix my seal this the day and year above written. /s/ Louisa A. Lowery Signed and sealed and delivered in the presence of Goochland county , to wit: We William A. Ford and John Ware, justices of the peace for the County aforesaid, and state of VA do hereby certify that Louisa A. Lowery, a party to a certain deed bearing date on the first day of Dec 1834, and hereunto annexed personally appeared before us in our County aforesaid, and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed, and desired us to certify the said acknowledgement tot he clerk of the county court of Goochland in order that the same may be recorded.
