He was then fifty-two years of age and therefore born in 1766. He served as a private soldier under Colonel Samuel Hawes. He married Elizabeth. ______ who was forty-four years of age in 1820. In that year they had the following children: Polly, aged 17 years; Elizabeth aged 15 years; Samuel aged 7 years; Henna aged 5 years; Susannah aged 3 years; and Thomas aged one year and a half.
