Will of Charles Taylor

	In the name of God Amen.  I Charles Taylor of Goochland County being 
of perfect mind and memory blessed be God do make and ordain this to be my 
last Will and Testament in manner and form follwoing, first I commit my soul 
into the hand of almighty God, hoping through the merits of christ to win a 
pardon of all my sins and my body to be decently interred at the direction of 
my Executrix hereinafter named.

	Imprimus.  I give, devise and bequeath to my loving wife Mary Taylor 
one hundred and fifty acres of land being the land I now live on to be by her 
sold or otherwise disposed of as she shall think fit.

	Item.	I give, devise and bequeath to said wife all the rest of my 
estate, real and personal, to her an her heirs forever and do constitute and 
appoint her Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all wills 
by me heretofore made and do appoint that my estate be not appraised in 
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of 
December one thousand seven hundred and forty two.

Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of 
Thos. Turpin	 James Robinson	John Cappor[?]

	At a Court held for Goochland County January 18, 1742[sic–the will is 
dated 2 December 1742] this will was proved by the oaths of Thomas Turpin and 
James Robinson and was thereupon ordered to be recorded.
