GOOCHLAND COUNTY, VIRGINIA - JOHN WOODALL, 1747 WILL Submitted by Terry Tharpe. In the name of God Amen I John Woodall of the County of Goochland, calling to mind that all Flesh must die & at present being much afflicted with Sickness tho of perfect sence & Memory doe make &ordain this my last Will & Testament that is today(sic). Imprimis I give & bequeath my Soul into the hand of God that gave it & my Body to the Dust to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors and for the Wordly body I am posesed with in this World I give & dispose of as Followeth. Imprimis, I give & bequeath unto John Woodall one hundred & fifty Acres of land Whereon he lives to him my said son John of his Heirs forever. Imprimis, I give & bequeath unto my Son Wm Woodall one hundred and fifty Acres of Land whereon he now lives bounded by a strate line devided between them to himself my Son William & his heirs forever. I give and bequeath all my Estate unto my Sons Jno Woodall & Wm Woodall, and my Daughter Sarah Priar & appoint James Johnson, to devide it between them as Equal as he can without praising or Inventarin in three parts. I appt. my Sons John Woodall & Wm Woodall Executor to this my last Will & Testamt. in Testimony whereof I set to my hand and Seal this 9th Day of Septem.
