At one time the Baywood Methodist Church stood here. The church, which was built in 1886, was founded by James Henry Kyle, Alexander Cox, and Dr. Staley E Young. By tradition, the church was torn down a short time after the death of Dr. Young, who was killed in an accident on January 9 1914. The cemetery is surrounded by a small fence and is mowed by the present owner. There are only 2 graves with marked stones. There is one grave marked with a fieldstone and it appears that two or more graves may have been moved elsewhere. By tradition three members of the Kyle Family were buried here and when the land was sold and subdivided in the 1970’s, the remains were moved. The remains of James H Kyle, his wife Luella, and four of their children have been moved to the Felts Memorial Cemetery. I haven’t been able to determine which members were originally buried here. The GPS Coordinates for the grave site at Felts Memorial Cemetery are: N 36.68071 W 080.90932 GPS Coordinates for this cemetery: N 36.60768 W 081.01736 The two marked graves are: OSBORN, Callie Mar 25 1852 Jun 15 1897 CAUDLE, Malinda Mealy 1872 May 8 1900 Completed Dec 15 2005
