Spelling, punctuation, etc. have not been corrected. ~ Rose Thompson Fox Grayson Co, Va, Order Book (Minutes) Book 1826-1832 pg 6 - February, 1826 - Ordered that Mitchell Thompson, Vincent Wheeler and James Tate or any two of them after being sworn for that purpose, appraise the personal estate of Joseph Johnston dec/d and make report thereof to court. pg 15 March 1826 - John Tompson to John Diction in case this day came the parties by their attornies thereupon came the jury to wit, Churchwel Olgelsby, George McKenzie,James A. Webb, James Wright, Levy Davis, Fielden Seger, James Jones, Isaac Brisendene, David King, Minitree Jones, John Cloud, Thomas L Baldwin who being sworn to try the above joined and having heard the evidence returned a verdict in the following words towit;"We the jury find in favor of the plantiff $35 with interest from the date whareupon it is considered by the court that the plantiff recover off the defendant the sum aforesaid with interest aforesaid and the costs in this behalf expanded. pg 23 - June 1826 - John Thompson, plantiff to John Dition & William Wilkerson, Defendents. Motion on a bond for the delivery of property on the day of sale, taken by execution served out of this court by the plantiff against the defendant John Dition.
