James T. Coomes to Charles G. Taft Deed - 1896 - Grayson Co., VA

Virginia Grayson County Court Clerks office Jan. 21, 1896. The
forgoing deed was presented in the office the above date with the
certificate of acknowledgement annexed and was admitted to record.

This indenture made and intered into this 25th day of Oct. 1896 between
James T. Coomes of the county of Grayson and State of Virginia of the
one part and Charles C. Taft of the same place Witnesseth that the said
James T. Coomes hath sold unto the said Charles G. Taft a tract on
parcel of land containing twenty acres be the same more or less lying
and being in the county of Grayson and state of Virginia on the waters
of Peach Bottom Creek the said Charles G. Taft paid unto the James T.
Coomes two hundred and fifty dollars before the entering and delivering
of these premises whereof the receipt are hereby acknowledged and
bounded as followeth to wit; Beginning at the shop near near J. R.
Coxes field on the road to Wytheville thence with road to a spring on
the side of the road thence across the hill to a branch thence with the
meanders of the branch to J. R. Cox field then with a road to the
beginning to have and to hold said track on parcel of land and its
apertainenses fair and clear from him his heirs and all others persons
unto the said Charles G. Taft and hears forsworn in testimony that
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and afixed my seal the day and date
first above Ritten.
