Counties and States of the one part & Andrew Cox of the County of Ash and state of North Carolina of the other part Witnesseth that they the said heirs for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt ----of (sic thereof ?) is hereby acknowledged and themselves therewith fully satisfied and paid hath hath (sic?) and by these presents doth fully freely clearly absolutely grant bargain sell and confirm & convey unto him the said Andrew Cox Senr his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Grayson and State of Virginia adjoining the state line containing by survey three hundred acres and bounded as followeth to wit beginning at a large white oak thence 850 (?) W 134 poles to a stake S 30 W304 (?) poles to and in the State line E 328 poles along the state Line to a stake on the bank of New river and thence 88 E 100 poles to the beginning with all its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Andrew Cox and his heirs forever and they the said heirs doth warrant and forever defend the afforsaid (sic) premises with all its appurtenances to him the said Andrew Cox his heirs and assigns free and Clear from all claims from them the said heirs in testimony whereof they the said heirs hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date above written signed sealed and delivered in the presents of David Cox (seal) Lucy Cox (seal) Polly (her X mark) Dowden (sic) (seal) Samuel Phipps (seal) Elizabeth (her X mark) Phipps (seal) Wm Rieves (seal) B Austen (seal) Jane (her X mark) Edwards (seal) Ann (her X mark) Austen (seal) Jesse Rieves (seal) Susanna (her X mark) Toliver (seal) John Rives (seal) Grayson September Court 1833 This deed from George Rieves heirs to Andrew Cox was proven by the subscribing witnesses and ordered to be recorded.
