Spelling, punctuation, etc. have not been corrected. ~ Rose Thompson Fox Deed Book 3, Page 524 Grayson County to Wit Know all men by these presents that I Catron THOMPSON of Grayson County in the consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds to me in hand paid by Marget THOMPSON of the said County and state aforesaid of at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I hereby acknoledge have bargained, sold, granted and confirm to the said Marget THOMPSON a certain male negroe slave named Dave to have and to hold the said male negroe slave to the only proper use and behoof of the said Marget THOMPSON her Executors Administrators and Afsigns forever and I the said Catron THOMPSON for myself my Exec's and administrators the said male negroe slave to the said Marget THOMPSON her executors administrators afsigns against me the said Catron THOMPSON my Executors Administros and Afsigns against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall & will covanant and forever defend by these presents. In witnefs whereof i have hereunto set my hand fixed my seal this 16th of October in the year 1817. Sealed & delivered and possession delivered in presence of us Catron THOMPSON Martin CLOUD , JB JOHNSON Grayson Clerks office, October 29th 1817. This deed from Catron THOMPSON to Marget THOMPSON was proven by two subscibing witnefses and ordered to be recorded. Teste M. DICKENSON , CC
