Greer KING, N.C. -- Millard Fillmore Greer, 92, formerly of Rural Retreat, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was born April 9, 1910, in Troutdale, Va., the son of Leonard and Mary Vaught Greer. He was a member of Troutdale Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie Sullivan Greer. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Don Leonard of King and Geraldine and Bill Moore of Roanoke; three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Joyce Greer of King, Roy and Joyce Greer and Roger and Diane Greer, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Billy Moore and wife, Cheryl, Melanie Carter and husband, Lee, Michael, Matthew and Megan Greer, all of Roanoke, Kristi Leonard of King and Marie Primicias and husband, Mike of Milpitas, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob and Elizabeth Moore; and several nieces and nephews; along with two sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Elder Daniel C. Blevins Sr., Elder Everett Blevins and Elder Daniel C. Blevins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sullivan Family Cemetery, Troutdale. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Greer Family.
