Mitchell Cemetery Location: In east end of Stanardsville, Virginia, .5 mile from Court House and in rear of the colored church. Greene County DATE: 1855, date of grave (marker) OWNERS: Pritchett Family. DESCRIPTION: Practically all of Robert Pritchett’s family are buried here but only one tombstone is standing. The inscription reads: Robert L. Pritchett Born Nov. 6th, 1826 Died Sept. 14,. 1855 HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Robert Pritchett was a prominent citizen and built the Lafayette Hotel in Stanardsville.
