Boone Cemetery Location: Northwest of Emporia, Virginia, 7.5 miles. Go 6 miles north on Route #301 to Route #646, thence .5 of a mile on same to a private road to J.M. Prince’s home, thence .5 mile back of the house. Greensville County DATE: 1745 OWNERS: On the property belonging to Mr. J.M. Prince. DESCRIPTION: There is but one marker at this place, and no one knows if there are other graves or not. This marker is an ordinary stone about twenty inches long. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The inscription which is as follows: Charles Stewart Jor, Died 31, Oct. 1745 The history of this family could not be learned, but it is thought he may be the first, or a former owner of the Prince property.
