DEMPSEY JOHN POWELL 

Dempsey John Powell, age 68, died March 4, 1971.  Survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Mabel Pair Powell; two daughters, Mrs. Frances P. Collett, Petersburg, Mrs. 
Carolyn P. Moore, Rocky Mount, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Robbins, Mrs. 
Adrienne Edwards, Mrs. Mary Prasse, all of Emporia; four brothers, Thomas A., 
Charlie W., and Jessie B. Powell, all of Emporia, William J. Powell of Stony 
Creek; 6 grand-children.  Remains rest at Echols Funeral Home, where services 
will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday with interment in Emporia Cemetery.
