GREENSVILLE COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Leah Jones, 10 Nov 1795 ----¤¤¤---- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Leah Jones of the County of Greensville being sick but possessed of a strong mind and memory and callng to mind that it is appointed for men once to die, do make this my last will and testament revoking and disannulling all other Wills foremerly made, and to what worldly goods God hath been gracious to bestow upon me, I do give in manner and form following after my just debts being paid. Item: I give to my neice Debroah Maclin one grey mare and riding chair also one feather bed and furniture, the mare to be considered? her Christmas 1796. The colt the mare now goes with I give to Thomas Maclin with the use of the said mare until the above period of Christmas 1796. Item: I give to my niece Elizabeth Maclin one half of the bonds due me. Item: I give to my neice Susanna Maclin the other half of the bonds due me, my trunks? and wearing apparel I desire that my sister Elizabeth Maclin may have such as she may want and the the balance for her to divide between Rebeccah, Elizabeth and Susanna Maclin, when the bonds is collected I desire that Thomas Maclin who is guardian for Elizabeth and Susanna Maclin may from time to time dispose of the money for such articles as he may conceive they stand in need of. Lastly, I appoint John Maclin and Thomas Maclin Executors of this my Last Will & Testament and desire that there may be no appraisement of my estate whatsoever.
