GREENSVILLE COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Elizabeth Rawlings, 20 Nov 1801 ----¤¤¤---- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, November the twentieth day one thousand eight hundred and one, I Elizabeth Rawlings of Greensville County and Parish of Meharriss? being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say: Imprimis: I give and bequeath unto my son Drury and Isaac and Nancy Walton all the increase of negroes belonging to my estate since the death of my husband Isaac R. Walton. I will that my daughter Nancy Walton have a mare and bridle and saddle belonging to the plantation. I will that my crop be sold and one horse and all my household and kitchen furniture and my cattle and my hogs and all my just debts be paid and out of it and then I will that my sons Henry and David Walton have five shillings sterling and then for my three above mentioned children to have what remains, to wit: Drury and Isaac and Nancy Walton. And lastly, I appoint my son Drury Walton Executor of this my Last Will & Testament revoking all others by me heretofore made. IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written. her Elizabeth X Rawlings (L.S.) mark Signed and delivered, published and declared by the same Elizabeth Rawlings to be her Last Will Testament in presence of: Edmund Branscom Buckner Lanier Robert Branscom At a Court held for the County of Greensville January 1802 This Will was proved according to law by the oaths of Edmund Branscomb and Buckner Lanier, witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of the Executor therein named who made oath thereto and having given bond security according to law, Certificate was granted him to execute the said Will as the law directs.
