Rice and Logan graveyard 1937 June 24 Research made by Lona Dalton Cemetery Location: 18.8 miles northwest of Halifax, Virginia. Go 3 miles west (right) of Halifax, on Route #360, thence 11 miles northwest (right) on Route #57, thence 4 miles north (right) on Route #672, thence .2 mile west (left) on Route #666, thence .2 mile northeast (right) on Route #672, thence .4 mile north (left) on private road to burying ground. Halifax County DATE: 1816. OWNERS: This graveyard is on property belonging to George A. Reylonds. The graveyard rights were reserved by the Logans and their descendents. DESCRIPTION: This family burying ground is located about two hundred yards to the left rear of the main house. It is enclosed with a stone wall four feet high and two feet thick. There are about eighteen stones in the graveyard, with the same size stones at the head and feet. Some of them have no inscriptions on them. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following is a paragraph copied from the will of William Logan which was recorded in Will Book 31, page 408. “5th.
