(George Wiley and John Poyner owned land on Evans Creek, and Winns Creek, south of Dan River) (Submitter note: Is this the Champness Turner who married Elizabeth Wisdom before 1799? She was the daughter of Thomas Wisdom and wife, Martha Lewis, who lived in Halifax Co., Va the few years before his death in 1780. They had just moved to Caswell Co., NC when Thomas died and the Wisdom family were there for many years. I'd love to know more of Elizabeth Wisdom Turner and her family.
