Loftis widow of Wm. A. Loftis dec'd a confederate soldier, for whose relief an Act of Assembly was approved March 7 1900, the court doth certifies the following as facts proved on said application. 1. That the said Sarah J. Loftis is the widow of Wm. A. Loftis,a confederate soldier, company 'G' 30th North Carolina Regt. Captain Barnett commanding, who was a gallant soldier during the late war and was wounded at Gaines Mills June 27th 1862. 2. That the said Sarah J. Loftis her deceased husband was a true and loyal Virginian through the war. That she is now destitute and incapacitted for manual labor and should receive aid from Virginia which facts are ordered to be certified to the Auditor of Public Accounts in accordance with the provisions of said Act of Assembly.
