William M. Elliott

William Marshall Elliott, 78, Broad Street, Elizabethton, 
formerly of Moseley, Va., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, in the 
Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Halifax County, Va., Mr. Elliott had lived in 
Elizabethton for the past three months. He was preceded in death 
by his wife, Mary Eloise Montgomery Elliott, Feb. 6, 1998.
Mr. Elliott was a retired carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Marsha Sutton 
and Mary Lee and Jeff Kyte, all of Elizabethton; a grandson, 
Brandon L. Sutton, Dansville, N.Y.; and a sister, Nancy Houwers, 
Aiken, S.C.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 
15, 2003, in the Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Va., with the 
Rev. Brysn S. Irwin, Sr., pastor of Central Baptist Church, 
Richmond, Va., officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be 
made in memory of Mr. Elliott to the Carter County Rescue Squad, 
P.O. Box 776, Elizabethton, TN 37644. Condolences may be e-mailed

arrangements.
