Mrs. Miller was born in Halifax County on September 15, 1940, the daughter of Edith Rosser and the late Osborne Rosser and was married to Robert Miller. She was a member of Brown Memorial Church of God in Christ. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Frank Miller of CA, Dale Miller of South Boston and Timothy Miller of CT; three grandchildren; her mother; four sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held May 3 at 2 p.m. at Brown Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor William P. Mosby conducting the service. Livian Moorefield Wilmoth Livian Moorefield Wilmoth, 70, of 1033 Flashback Street, Halifax, died April 29 at Halifax Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wilmoth was born in Halifax County on July 11, 1931, the daughter of Harold Otis Moorefield and Rosa Buntin Moorefield Butler and was married to Harold O. Wilmoth Sr. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Gayle W. Clayton of Roxboro, NC; two sons, Roger D. Wilmoth of Coventry, RI and Ronald Wayne Wilmoth of Halifax; one sister, Margaret W. Snow of South Boston; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Harold O. Wilmoth Jr.; one grandson, Ron Sterling Wilmoth; and one sister, Lucille M. Reese. Mr. Sydnor was born in Halifax County on June 27, 1942, the son of Winston Sydnor and Florine Jennings Sydnor and was married to Agnes Elizabeth Womack Sydnor. Annie Louise Jennings Annie Louise Jennings, 61, of 1015 Height Trail, Halifax, died May 17 at Halifax Regional Hospital. Miss Jennings was born in Halifax County on December 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Fred Jennings and Macie Edmonds Jennings. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant CME Church. Franklin Monroe New Franklin Monroe New, 69, of 1081 Shelton Road, South Boston, died May 20 at Halifax Regional Hospital. Mr. New was born in South Boston on April 25, 1933, the son of James Monroe New and Mollie Cozart New and was married to Ina B. New. He was a member of American Legion Post 8, was an Army Veteran and retired supervisor with Daystrom. Born January 31, 1930, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Whitt Thornton Dalton and Maude Talbott Dalton. Mr. Dalton was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Brookneal. Survivors include one son, Ralph Dalton of Brookneal; two daughters, Betty Ann Fisher of Brookneal and Linda Hodnett of Gladys; four brothers, Joseph Dalton of Gladys, James Dalton and George Dalton, both of Gretna, and Bennie Dalton of Martinsville; two sisters, Catherine Jones of Gretna and Louise Betterton of Java; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cole was born in Halifax County on May 15, 1912, the daughter of George Moore and Betty Walker Moore and was married to George Washington Cole. She was a member of St. Luke Apostle Church. Born July 29, 1918, in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Eugene Taylor and Lou Jane Andrews Taylor. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virgie Bowen Taylor; one son, Garnell Taylor; two sisters, Rebecca Snow and Anne Love; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Younger Taylor of the home; two sons, Marvin Lynwood Taylor and wife, Brenda of Danville and Ricky Bowen Taylor and wife, Kathy of Gretna; two daughters, Judy T. Felicia Abbott McCargo Mrs. Felicia Abbott McCargo, 41, of Abbott Hill Road, Halifax, died Wednesday at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County on November 27, 1960, and was the daughter of Mrs. Clara Taylor Abbott and the late James William Abbott. Mrs. McCargo was married to Zachary McCargo and was a member of the Crystal Hill Baptist Church. She was employed by Clover Yarns. She is survived by her husband, Zachary McCargo; one daughter, Ms. Erica McCargo of Halifax; one sister, Mrs. Sonya Britton of Crystal Hill; one brother, Minister James Abbott of Chatham; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Mae McCargo of Alexandria; her grandmother-in-law, Mrs. Ada Bailey of Halifax; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
