William Spencer Betts.  Born Apr. 17, 1817, died Oct. 16, 1901.  First son of 
Elisha and Frances Marable Betts.  Husband of Mary Faulkner Betts.  Father of 
14 children.  Captain in Confederate Army, fought in battle of Staunton River 
Bridge.
