Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and his successors for the time being in the sum of Fifty pounds current money to be paid to this Governor for the use of the Commonwealth to which payment well and truly to be made by these presents Sealed with our seal and dated this 17th day of April 1779. Whereas there is a Marriage depending and by Gods permission suddenly to be had and solemnized between the above bound John LeGrand and Elizabeth Younger.
