HALIFAX COUNTY, VA - WILLS - Thomas True, 25 Feb 1815 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Halifax County, Virginia, Book 10, page 367 In the name of God, amen. The 25th of February 1815. I, Thomas True, being in good health in body and perfect memory, thanks be to Almighty God, and calling to mind once the uncertain state of the testator's (or transitory) life, and that all flesh must yield unto death, when it shall please God to call, do make, establish & ordain, this my last will and testament, in names and form following, making and anulling by these presents, all and every testament and testaments, will and wills, by me therefore made either by word or writing, and this only is to be taken for my last Will and Testament and more At'set(?). And first of all I give and commit my soul to Almighty God, my Saviour and redeemer, and my body I commit to the earth, to be buried in Christian like and decent manner, at such a place as shall please my executors, and as touching my worldly goods, wherwith it has pleased God to bestow on me, fare above my deserts, I will and dispose of them, in manner and form as following, First, I give and bequeath to my brother, John True, 138 1/2 acres of land bounding of his, in Halifax County, Virginia. I give and bequeath to Oza Scott True my Marable (moveable?) property. The number nor names not mentioned and it is my will that there should be no Appraisement on my estate. I appoint Daniel Wilkes and Samuel foate my executors to my last Will and Testament.
