I, John Adam Link, of the state of Virginia & County of Halifax, being of a sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First I will that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and discharged by my Executors hereafter named. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Barton Link Ten pound Virginia money to be paid him after his mothers death by the Executors. Also, I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Link this Tract of land whereon I now live Containing two Hundred and sixty seven acres more or less with all appurtan's, houses, orchards and so forth.- Then I give or lend to my dear and loving wife for the term of her life all the Remaind of my Estate. I desire after the death of my wife Sarah Link that all the remainders of my Estate be sold & equally divided between William Link Sener & my son John Link & my Daughter Peggy Foster, & my Daughter Sarah Warren and my Daughter Milley Warren. And I do constitute and appoint William Link & Thomas Link Executors of this my last Will and Testament and Trustees for my Wife. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & fixed my Seal this 21st day of November in the year of our Lord---1783. Witnesses present Adam Link L.T. William Holt James Holt his Isaac + Smith mark At a court held for the said County the 27th day of April 1789. The within written last Will and T4estament of John A Link decd was exhibited into Court and proved by the oaths of two witnesses thereunto subscribed to be the act & will of the said Link decd and the same was ordered to be Recorded. And on the motion of William Link one of the executors in the said will named, who made oath according to law, certificate for obtaining probate was granted him in due form he giving security. Whereupon he together with James Holt and John Graves his securities entered into & acknowledged Bond for that Purpose according to law.
