Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Dec 31,1966
Norfolk - George Washington Epps, Jr., of 1323 Chapel street, who died Dec. 20 
in a Philadelphia hospital, was given final rites Monday in Riddick Funeral 
Chapel by the Rev. Milton Reid.  Burial followed in Hampton National Cemetery 
with military honors.

The Norfolk native was a son of the George W. Epps Sr. and Mrs. Annie Epps and 
the husband of Mrs. Madeline Epps.  He was a former member of New Calvary 
Baptist Church and a veteran of the Army.

Surviving are a brother, Relus Epps of Norfolk, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Taylor 
of Philadelphia.
