Mrs. Elizabeth N. Luke

HAMPTON - Mrs. Elizabeth Nelms Luke, 89, of 3015 Terrace Road, died Saturday 
in a hospital.

A native of Nansemond County, she was a Peninsula for the last 62 years.  She 
was the widow of R. Claude Luke Sr. and a member of the Women's Fellowship of 
First United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth L. Foster and Miss Nancy C. 
Luke, both of Hampton; a son, Richard C. Luke Jr. of Newport News; a sister, 
Mrs. Margaret T. Anglin of Linthicum Heights, Md.; six grandchildren, and 10 
great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Peninsula Funeral Home by the Rev. 
Carl E. Wallace.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will be at 
100 Parker Ave., Newport News.
