Hanover County Virginia USGenWeb Archives Military 
     French & Indian War, 1758 

An act of assembly, passed March 1758, the 31st year of the reign of 
King George II, some of the militia were called out for service in 
the early days of the French and Indian War, Annexed to this act,
was a schedule of the names of the militia officers and soldiers,
and the citizens who furnished provisions to that militia.  
This is the schedule pertaining to Hanover County.


                   HANOVER COUNTY. 
                                                                       l. s. d.   
To Captain Christopher Hudson for pay to him, his officers and 
   company, to the last day of August, 1758, inclusive, from the 
   time of inlisting,                                                 302 10  2 
To do. for provisions,                                                 17  1  6 
To William Huson, for cart hire,                                       10 10 00
To Christopher Hudson, paid for a guide,                               00 18 00
To David Henderson, for digging a well at fort Dunlop,                 00 15 00
To captain George Pitt, for his pay, and the pay of his guards, 
   conducting drafted soldiers to Fredericksburg,                       7 00 00
