CHARLES GREGORY, the husband of HANNAH GREGORY, and WILLIAM GREGORY, the son of the said CHARLES and HANNAH GREGORY, both enlisted in Capt. John Winston's Co. of the 14th VA Regt. of the Continental Infantry in January 1777 for three years...and both died at Valley Forge in March or April 1778. January 1786: Depositions by Thomas PRICE and by Capt. John OVERTON, Jr., 14th VA Regt., and by J. SYME, and Parke GOODALL, January 1794, that CHARLES GREGORY left one child about 15 years of age; 27 Oct 1813 that HANNAH GREGORY and CATHERINE CAMRON, pensioners, were still living. 14 Jan 1814: Warrant request signed by HANNAH GREGORY and CATHERINE CARMRON. Letter cover to William O. Winston. Certificates authorizing pension approved by the Executive 1786 to 1814.
