Hanover County, VA - Billey Talley, Revolution War Pensioner SUBJECT: Billey Talley SUBMITTER: talley bailey EMAIL: critt61626@aol.com DATE: Jun 10, 1999 Billey Talley served as a Private in the 5th Virginia regiment that was commanded by Captain Richard Clough Anderson beginning in 1776.He was a Philadelphia at the time of the British occupation of New York.He faught at the battles of Germantown and Brandywine and wintered at Valley Forge with the troops under George Washington command.He was from HANOVER County,Virginia and was discharged Feb. 1778.
