in the Virginia 5th Regiment.pension number 23501 was filed july 14,1841
by widow.he fought at battles of Brandywine,Germantown,wintered at Valley
Forge and after 2yr was discharged feb. 1778.is listed on the Virginia
roll of pensioners dated 1835.he was from hanover co,va.
