Henrico County This old graveyard is located just to the north of the old Christian home. It is one of the most unique family plots in the country, covering a rectangular space fifty feet long by twenty feet wide. It is surrounded by a fence of iron pickets with heavy iron posts spaced at ten foot intervals and a gate at the eastern end which is secured by a massive iron lock. The pickets are about three quarters of an inch in diameter and the posts about six inches in diameter, with an iron rail one inch in diameter holding the pickets in place. There is only one monument here. This is the shape of an obelisk, resting on a base, on which are engraved all the names of the Christian family that are interred here. This monument rests on a one foot thick, solid stone, thirty-six by thirty-six inches square. The next section which carries the lettering and which is a solid piece two and one half feet square and two and one half feet tall, is topped by a six foot obelisk which is graduated and carries the name CHRISTIAN on one side. This completed the monument, giving it s height of nine and one half feet.
