NICHOLAS AMES & WILLIAM PORTER, JR TO RICHARD BAYS - 100 ACRES - HENRICO CO., 
VA - 1686

Know all men by these presents that Wee Nicholas Ames & Wm Porter, Junr. for 
divers good causes us moveing Have given granted confirmed assigned & Sett over 
& by these presents doe fully freely clearly & absolutely give grant Confirm 
assign & Sett over unto Rich'd Bays his heirs & Assigns one hundred Acres of 
land Scituate lying [&] being upon ye North Side of the White Oak Swamp in 
Henrico County bounding West upon the line of Richard Ferris & East upon the 
land of the sd Nicholas Ames & Wm Porter wch sd one hund'd Acres of Land is 
part of a tract of land of four hund'd fifty & three Acres of land  To have and 
to hold the sd one hund'd Acres of land unto ye sd Rich'd Bays & his heirs 
Exec's & Adm's for ever together w/ all priviledges of Woods & underwoods 
thereunto belonging  And we the sd Nichol. Ames & Wm Porter as well joyntly as 
Severally the sd one hund'd Acres of land unto the sd Rich'd Bays his heirs 
Exec's & Adm's as against all persons Shall & will Warrant & for ever defend by 
& from any means Act Alient[?] consent privelege or procuremt. of us the sd 
Nichol. Ames & Wm Porter or by or from any other means whatsoever any thing 
herein Contained  In Witness whereof we have hereunto Sett our hands & Seals 
this thirtyeth day of November Anno Dom 1686.

on his part & behalf Shall & doe remove himself Wife & family & 
[indecipherable] abide & dwell upon a certain peice or parcell of land lately 
given the above bounden Rich'd Bays & his heirs for ever by the above named 
Nicholas Ames & Will'm Porter, Junr. that w/ in the time & Space of five years 
from the day of ye date of these presents  That then this [Obligation] to be 
void or else to Stand remain & be in full force & virtue.
