George ["King George I"] etc. To all etc. Know ye That for diverse good Causes
and Considerations but more Especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of
fforty Shillings of good and lawful mony for our use paid to Our Receiver
General of our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have
given granted and confirmed And by these presents for us our Heirs and
Successors Do give grant and confirm unto Peter Baze of Henrico County one
certain Tract or parcel of Land containing ffour Hundred Acres lying & being on
the North Side James River in the County aforesaid and bounded as followeth
towitt Beginning at a Corner white Oak on the Line of Thomas Christian Thence
North ffive Degrees East One Hundred and Thirty Chains of Four poles to a Corner
black Oak on a branch of Beaver Dam Creek Thence West ffive Degrees North One
Hundred Twenty ffive Chains to a Corner Pine Thence South ffive Degrees West one
Hundred and Thirty Chains to a Corner black Oak Thence East ffive Degrees South
One Hundred Twenty ffive Chains to the place began at.  With all etc. To have
hold etc. To be held etc. Yielding and paying etc. Provided etc. In Witness etc.
Witness our Trusty and Well beloved Hugh Drysdale Esq. our Leut. Governor etc.
at Williamsburgh under the Seal of our Said Colony the Sixteenth day of March
One Thousand and Seven Hundred and Twenty Three in the Tenth Year of Our Reign.
