George et To all et Know ye that for Diverse good causes and
Considerations but more especially for and in Consideration of the sum of ~
fforty Shillings of good and lawful money for our use paid to our Receiver
General of Our Revenues in this Our Colony and Dominion of Virginia ~
We have given granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us Our
Heirs and successors Do give grant and Confirm unto William May One
Certain Tract or parcel of Land containing ffour Hundred acres lying and
being in the County of Henrico and Bounded as followeth (to wit) as
Begining at a Corner. Elm Standing on the East Side of Beaver Dam
Creek Thence East Ten Degrees South Twenty Three poles to a Corner Black
Oak of Mr Richard Cocke. Thence on his Land South One Hundred and
Twenty Six poles to a Corner Black Oak Thence South South West-One
Hundred and Eighty ffive poles to a Corner-White Oak Thence South
South West ffifty Two poles to a Corner-Pine Thence South Twenty ffour
poles to a Corner-Pine of the Said Cocke parting Richard Cocke Woodson 
and Company Thence on their lines North West-One Hundred and Sixty
Three poles to a Corner-Oak Thence West-Thirty Three Degrees North
Two Hundred and Eighty poles to a Corner Hickory and Black Oak
Thence North Twenty ffour Degrees West Three Hundred and Sixty Six
poles to a Corner-Black Oak parting the Said Woodson and Company
and Edward Bays Thence on Bays Line East-Thirty One Degrees ~
South One Hundred and Eighty two-poles to two Corner Oaks -
of Mr Addams and Thence on Mr Addams Lines South Eight Degrees ~
West-One Hundred and Seventy poles to a Corner-White Oak and Two
Black Oaks Thence East-Thirty Degrees South One Hundred and Sixty
One poles to two Birches and One Spanish Oak of the Said Addams
Standing on the North side of Beaver Dam Creek Thence up Said
Creek according to the Meanders Thence Hundred and Eighty ffour-poles
to the place began at- With All et To Have Hold and beheld and
Yeilding and paying as provided et in Witness et Witness Our Trusty and Well 
Beloved Hugh DrysDale Esqr Our Lord Govenor at Williamsburgh under the seal of
Our Said Colony The Seventeenth day of August One Thousand Seven ~
Hundred and Twenty ffive in the Twelfth Year of Our Reign
