June 25, 1891 It was to Have Been Moved Yesterday, but that was Postponed. Richmond, Va., June 24. -- The A. P. Hill monument association was to have removed the remains of General Hill this evening from Hollywood cemetery to a receptacle in the stone work of the Hill monument, now being erected just out of the city. At the last moment, however, the president of the Hollywood Cemetery company refused to allow the disinterment to take place, for the reason that permission to make the removal was not signed by General Hill's daughter and by her mother. Further action was postponed until the mother could be communicated with. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/vafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
