Will of Charles BALLOW: Will of Charles BALLOW, planter, of Henrico Parish,....To Son Charles, all my land on the upper side of Cornelius' Creek, at age 20; also negro and items. He is to have 2 years schooling after age 10. To daughter Sarah Ballow, items, to daughter Tabitha Ballow, items, to three youngest daughter, Michal, Phebe & Mary, 5 shillings each. Daughters are to be paid legacies at age 20 or marriage. To wife Tabitha, all my lands below Cornelius' Creek, for life, and at her death to my son Charles. To child my wife now goes with, 1 shilling. Wife to be executrix........Dated 17 Jul 1726 Witnesses: John Giles, Thomas Cryer, Charles Griffith. Recorded 4 Sep 1727. Will of John Woodson: To brother Samuel Woodson, 221 acres for which I have Matthew Gage's deed, not yet surrendered to me, and 93 « acres, for which I have Stephen Butler's bond, bounded by upper side of Daniel Pero's line, and on lower side by Matthew Gage's. To sister Martha Woodson, silver spoon. To cousin Judith Woodson, 30 shillings. All the rest to loving father Joseph Woodson, and he to be executor.......Dates 3 January 1726. To son Robert, the residue of land in Goochland on Jennytoe Creek.. To Son Jonathan, land near White Oak Swamp, between Richard Cocke, Edward Mosby, and Harrison, and his estate to be under the guardianship of my son Stephen until he is 18. To daughter Elizabeth, a negro and items. To daughter Judith; a negro and items. To daughter Agnes, a negro. The rest devided between children Joseph, Robert, Jonathan, and Judith; to be divided by son Stephen and Thomas Watkins...Son Stephen to be executor......Dated 6. Jul 1729. To son John, a silver tankard...To daughter Mary JAMES, a a gold ring...To son William , a sorrel mare. To son Benjamin, and to daughters Sarah HARRIS, Phebe HARRIS,Martha PASTURE, and son Francis, each, 1 shilling. All the rest to loving wife Mary, and she to be executor.
