Abstracted By: William Carter

Located on River Road (682)(57A), 500 feet south of the 
intersection with The Great Road (683) adjacent to the parking 
lot of the Appalachian Power Company Maintenance yard.  
The cemetery is marked by a memorial inscribed "Hord" which 
is viewable from River Road.  Inscribed on the back is 
"Mordecai Hord (c1722-1789), Sarah Winston Carr Hord (wife), 
Mordecai Hord Jr, John Hord and Ruther Hunter Hord.  
Cemetery is covered with downed trees and heavy 
undergrowth.  It is approximately 1000 sq feet with 20-24 grave 
sites, 12 with memorials, 10-12 with stones.
