Corbitt PP 18-19 This Indenture made this 26th Day of March 1793 between John Smith of the one part and John Reed of the other part (both of Henry County) Witnesseth that the said John Smith hath for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Current money to him in hand paid the Receipt he doth acknowledge hat bargained and sold unto the said John Reed a Certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Henry County on the Waters of fall Creek and Containing one hundred & twenty five acres be the same more or less and Bounded as followeth to wit: on the North by Phillip Anglin on the East by S____ B. May on the South by Tho. & William Smith and on the West by sd William Smith to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land Together with every of its appurtenances thereunto Belonging to the only proper use of the said John Reed his heirs & assigns forever and the said John Smith for himself his heirs Executors Administrators & assigns doth Covenant and with the said John Reed that he the said John Smith his heirs Execr. Admr & assigns ____ forever Warrant and Defend the aforesaid tract of land unto the said John Reed his heirs & assigns In Witness whereof I the said John Smith hath hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal the day and year first above written. Signed Sealed & Deliverd in presence of John Smith S.S. Memorandum that on the 26th day of March 1793 quiet and Peaceable possession was had by the said John Smith of the above mentioned land and delivered by him to sd John Reed according to the true meaning & intent of the above written deed.
