HENRY COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - Francis Ivie to John Ivie, 10 Dec 1821 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- The following is transcribed from a Bill of Sale transaction (levy on property) between Francis Ivie and John Ivie Henry Co, VA, Deed Book 9, pp 228-229, 12/10/1821 Ivie from Ivie Bill of Sale Know all persons that it may concern that I Francis Ivie of Henry County for and in consideration of my Son John John Ivie of said County having paid to George Hairston a debt I owed him which he had sued [?] & obtained an Execution & Levyed on my property, which said Execution, including Interest & Costs amounted to one hundred & Eleven Dollars, and in order to make him the said John Ivie his Heirs and etc. satisfaction as far as I am able I do by these presents Bargain, sell, convey & deliver to the aforesaid John Ivie his Heirs or assigns that is to say Two feather beds & furniture one walnut chest, one six gallon pot, one oven & two scillets, half a dozen house chairs, one table, one Cupboard, six Puter plates, half a dozen knives & forks, one puter dish one Cotton Wheal, one spice morter one Jug or Canister of tin, one Shot gun, one hand saw, a drawing knife two plains, one cup & one flat Iron, one looking glass to be the property of him the said John Ivie his heirs or assigns, to be by him sold at any time when he his Heirs or assigns may think proper so to do, to discharge the aforesd.
