Land Office, Grants & Patents Book No. 49,p.571 Grantee: William Sharp 264 acres, Henry Co., Virginia Date: 12 Dec 1801 James Monroe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting know Ye That by virtue of a land office Treasury Warrant Number twenty one thousand four hundred and thirty six issued the twenty third day of December seventeen hundred and eighty three, There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto William Sharp assignee of George Tittle A Certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and sixty four acres by survey bearing date the tenth day of September Seventeen hundred and eighty six lying and being in the County of Henry on the South branch of Goblin town Creek and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at Anthony Tittles corner white oak, thence with Grimes line South fourteen degrees East four poles to a white oak North seventy nine degrees East forty six poles crossing a branch to a white oak thence new line South thirty eight degrees East thirty two poles to a white oak South sixteen degrees East one hundred and sixty two poles crossing the South Fork of said Goblin town creek to a pine(?) South seventy four degrees West one hundred and sixty six poles crossing three branches to a chestnut tree near the road on a point of the bull mountain North fifty three degrees West one hundred and eighty four poles to a white oak North nine degrees West eight poles to Tittles corner white Oak, therewith his line North fifty degres East one hundred poles to a white oak, South fifty seven degrees East thirty poles crossing a branch to a white oak and North sixty degrees East one hundred and sixteen poles to the beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances, to the said William Sharp and his heirs forever in Witness whereof the said James Monroe esquire Governor of the commonwealth of virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one and of the commonwealth the twenty Sixth.
