The Henry Bulletin, July 16, 1929
THE HENRY BULLETIN, Tue., July 16, 1929, p. 3, cols. 7 & 8.  Mt. Herman (Delayed 
Letter - July 12).  We were very sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Sue Purdy, 
which occurred last week.  She was 97 years old and leaves to mourn her loss one 
daughter, Miss Judie Purdy.  Funeral services were conducted at the grave on 
Wednesday by Rev. D. P. Helms and Rev. Pete Turner.  Interment was made in the 
family burial ground near her home.  Mrs. Purdy had been a member of the Primitive 
Baptist church for 81 years.  She was one of Henry county’s oldest women.
